Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon Wiki

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Mystery (小林さんちのミステリードラゴン Kobayashi-san Chi no Misuterī Doragon) is the sixth episode of the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon 〇〇 Something anime miniseries. It was released on August 18, 2017 via the sixth Blu-ray/DVD compilation volume for the first season of the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid anime.[1]

Synopsis[]

Tohru, Kanna, and Lucoa enact different types of mystery stories and tropes. The different kind of mysteries referenced are two-hour suspense dramas, closed-circle arguments, locked-room mysteries, train mysteries, blackmail, and the stories of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Plot Overview[]

Tohru, Kanna, and Lucoa all introduce the special's theme and Kobayashi notes how different the theme is compared to past specials. When the dragons change into detective outfits, Kobayashi notices Lucoa and wonders if she's going to try stripping again, prompting reassurance from Lucoa that she won't strip during the special.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Two Hours Suspense Drama" Dragon: Tohru and Kanna corner Lucoa on the edge of a cliff, with Kanna accusing Lucoa of being "the culprit." When Lucoa asks them to prove it, Tohru shows her security footage that depicts Lucoa skipping in public while completely nude, which shocks Lucoa and ticks off Kobayashi.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Closed Circle" Dragon: Tohru, Kanna, and Lucoa are all inside of a cabin while a snowstorm rages on outside. Kanna introduces Tohru as a famous high school detective named Tohru Kobayashi. Tohru then brings up a chain of indiscriminate murders happening in the area, but since they have no leads or suspects, Tohru suggests sleeping together inside the house. Lucoa agrees, but the camera pans down, revealing that she's wearing a t-shirt with the word "murder" written on it and holding a blood-stained chainsaw.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Locked Room Trick" Dragon: Lucoa is feigning being killed, laying in a puddle of blood with the word Undressed (脱ぎた Nugita) written in Japanese with that blood. Kanna deduces that she was murdered with a blunt object and says that they're in a closed room, implying that the murderer is one of them. Tohru argues that the culprit could have entered through a magic circle she created, and Kobayashi accuses Tohru of being the murderer.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Time Table Trick" Dragon: Tohru and Kanna are inside a moving train, with Kanna telling Tohru that they won't be able to make it to their location, where they suspect a crime is about to take place at. Hearing this, Tohru creates a magic circle to arrive at the scene of the crime and Kobayashi comments on the portal again.

Special 6 Tohru and Kanna Holmes

Tohru and Kanna dressed as detectives.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Threatening Letter" Dragon: Lucoa is worried about Shouta, who has apparently been kidnapped. Kanna shows the detective, Tohru, a letter that the kidnapper supposedly left behind. Tohru reads the letter, but realizes that it was just a love letter she wrote to Kobayashi the other day. Kanna realizes that the letter was returned because Tohru forgot to put a postage stamp on the envelope, and Kobayashi is unsettled by the wording of the letter.

Kobayashi-san Chi no "Holmes" Dragon: Tohru and Kanna are dressed up as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. Lucoa enters their room, playing the role of a client, and Tohru claims Lucoa came to them in a rush after taking a shower, explaining she deduced that by looking at Lucoa's noticeably wet hair, the sweat on her body, and, more importantly, the fact that Lucoa isn't wearing any clothes. Kanna then arrests Lucoa and carries her out of the building. While Kobayashi sighs at the totally expected turn of events, Tohru ends the special, informing the audience that the next special will be the last.
